When Portland Public Schools approached Symbol Design, I led our team in creating a climate action workbook that would make a tangible difference in their community. As Principal and Creative Director, I guided the collaboration between our designers, PPS stakeholders, and copywriters to develop an omnichannel resource that transforms complex climate justice concepts into accessible, engaging content. Using thoughtful visual storytelling across print and digital platforms, the workbook illuminates the disproportionate impacts of climate change on marginalized communities while empowering both teachers and students to take meaningful action. The design intentionally balances environmental realities with pathways for hope, resulting in a dynamic tool that's activating a new generation of climate leaders across Portland's diverse neighborhoods.
